Grant Frazier Live at North Gate Vineyard
Grant Frazier is a 20 year-old singer/songwriter from Purcellville, Virginia
Grant started writing at an early age. He grew up in a creative household that promoted writing and original works, as his mother wrote and still writes screenplays and novels herself. Although he wasn't really influenced to pick up an instrument by his parents, his mom enrolled Grant and his brother in violin lessons when he was three years old. He learned to play by ear and that's when music really clicked for him. By middle school, he started writing poetry in his free time, and soon after picked up a few instruments along the way. By the time Grant was fifteen years old, he was constantly writing his own music. By the age of sixteen, he had released his first studio EP, in collaboration with another musician/studio producer. Grant was soon given the opportunity to be featured as an opening act for national touring artists for the BUNCEAROO Music Series, which helped jumpstart his solo career. Bill Bunce of BUNCEAROO Music Series said, "Grant Frazier is the real deal. He blends singer-songwriter with pop influences to write songs that connect audiences young and old alike."
For Grant, music has been a great outlet to express his emotion. He writes because it's an escape, and songwriting gives him great meaning and reflection on life. He fell in love with the idea of writing music when he found out you could combine storytelling with music and rhythm. That's when it all really clicked for him.
Grant currently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia as a student at the University of Virginia. As a first year at the university, he was given the opportunity to perform under some big stages, including being a featured artist at the Tom Tom Founders Festival, Corner Indie Fest, and the O-Records Showcase. Grant was also named as a Top Ten artist in Charlottesville by Odyssey Online, was the first artist featured in The Pioneer's "Artist Series", and was also a featured artist on the YouTube channel, "Vulture Sessions." He is also an artist under UVA's student-run record label, O-Records.
Grant finished writing and recording his first studio album titled "Runaway" at M80 Recording Studio and released it on August 31st of 2016 on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music. He is a current second-year at the University of Virginia and is on the pre-med track in his undergraduate studies. Grant is a 2015 graduate of Loudoun Valley High School.
