Gentle Yoga: Unwind and rejuvenate stubborn joints! This therapeutic flow is perfect for seniors and those ready to start moving again after surgery or injury. After a light warm-up to awaken the body and breath, we will focus in depth on one “trouble” zone, such as sticky hips or tight shoulders, working on releasing tension and strengthening weak areas, before ending with a blissful restorative pose to recharge the batteries before heading back out into the world. Modifications will be offered based on the needs of each student.
Yoga Basics: Begin your yoga journey! This class is perfect for newcomers or more advanced yogis looking to explore poses more in depth. We will spend time flowing thorough a moderately paced cardiovascular warm-up, as well as explore basic poses and breath technique from different yoga traditions. This introduction to yoga will teach you the basics and give you a strong foundation from which to grow. It’s a great jumping off point for the Cardio Vinyasa class.
Cardio Vinyasa: Work up a sweat! For yogis that have a basic knowledge of asana and pranayama,, this vigorous flow will get your breath and blood flowing, creating plenty of heat as you release tension, stretch, and strengthen. We will work on alignment, as well as connecting breath and movement, creating harmony throughout body, mind, and spirit.
