Proud Loudoun County Chamber Tradition Honoring Loudoun County’s Career and Volunteer Emergency First Responders to be Held April 20th

Loudoun County, VA – In the 27 year history of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce Valor Awards, the Chamber has never presented more than 72 awards in recognition for the courageous, often lifesaving actions of Loudoun’s career and volunteer emergency first responders in the line of duty.

On April 20th, at The National Conference Center in Lansdowne, the Loudoun County Chamber will present a record number 102 awards and citations to Loudoun’s heroic law enforcement, fire and rescue personnel and to ordinary citizens for their heroic actions in 2011.

“The Annual Valor Awards is the Loudoun County Chamber’s proudest tradition, when our members have the privilege to honor Loudoun’s emergency first responders and even ordinary citizens for their selfless sacrifices to keep our community safe,” said Chamber President Ton Howard.

The 2012 version of this proud Loudoun County Chamber tradition promises to be among the most compelling in the Awards’ 27 year history.  Besides the record-number 102 honors that will be presented, the ceremony will highlight three incidents that resulted in 72 Unit Citations for career and volunteer Fire & Rescue personnel, along with five Citizen Awards.

“At the Loudoun County Chamber, we are proud that Loudoun County is our nation’s finest community to raise a family and grow a business.  Loudoun would not be such a world-class community if not for the courage and commitment of the brave women and men who work and volunteer in our fire, rescue and law enforcement agencies.  The Loudoun County Chamber salutes them for their contributions to our community and we look forward to honoring our 2012 Valor Award honorees on April 20th” Howard added.

Every member of the Loudoun County business community is invited to attend the 27th Annual Valor Awards.  Tickets, tables and sponsorships are for sale at www.loudounchamber.org.
