After successful debates in 2011 General Assembly, Board of Supervisors races, Chamber plans its first forum for Loudoun’s school board candidates
What: In an historic political event, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce presents the 2011 “Loudoun County School Board Candidates Forum,” a debate style event featuring candidates for the nine seats on the Loudoun School Board.
When: Tuesday, November 1, 2011; 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. (registration/networking 7:30 a.m.)
Where: Belmont Country Club (43750 Tournament Parkway, Ashburn; 703.723.5330).
Program: For the first time ever, the Loudoun County Chamber will host a forum with the candidates seeking a seat on the Loudoun County School Board. Facing a panel of Loudoun County business leaders, these school board candidates will be asked a series of questions based on the Chamber’s 2011 Public Policy Agenda.
All of the candidates for the Loudoun School Board have been invited to participate in this Forum. The event is patterned after the successful candidates forums the Chamber held for those seeking to represent Loudoun County in the Virginia General Assembly and the County Board of Supervisors.
“In so many important ways, Loudoun County’s public schools play a vital role in defining our community’s quality of life and the strength of our local economy. The Loudoun County Chamber is proud to present this opportunity to hear our school board candidates articulate their ideas for leading Loudoun’s public school system for the next four years,” said Chamber President & CEO Tony Howard.
Registration for the 2011 Loudoun County School Board Candidates Forum is available at www.loudounchamber.org, or by calling (703) 777-2176.
