Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) of Northern Virginia is the only region-wide organization focused solely on preventing child abuse and neglect across Northern Virginia. Our mission is to to protect children from abuse in through education, advocacy, and community engagement. We work to stop child abuse by focusing on the child first, with a deep understanding of the complexity of child development, abuse, and trauma.
